Correction of section details Chairman, Bolpur Municipality has proposed changes in section details in respect of some parts of the assembly constituency. The correction sought for can be made only after due verification by the block, post office, BLLRO & the Estate Officer, Visva-Bharati, in addition discussion with political party need to be held. Hence correcting / updating sections will take time due to involvement of muntiple agencies. Time limit set for submitting correction to SLA i.e. 20/09/2007 (No. 257 dt. 12/09/2007) be kindly extended.
How does one keep the data of post office/police station in synch? How soon does this happen? Who does it? What about provisioning/deprovisioning the people from system(people moving/mortality/new job) How does one protect the system (how do you enforce changing ofthe password etc so that it can't be misused)

SDO Bolpur: Time cannot be extended now beyond a week or so at best.
"district magistrate": But what is your district? But the question is very valid. Yes, you may make new EPICs too from the PECs from 1.12.2007 but you'll have to stop by 31.1.2008 to enable integration in the FP roll.
If the sections have not been segregated within the electoral roll, will the sections be numbered "1","2", "3" etc in the front page or will all be reflected under one Number i.e. Section "1" as is the case now?
The cover page is a reflection of what's inside, Darjeeling. So if the electors are seggregated into , say, 5 sections, the cover page will mention these 5 sections with no. & name. On the other hand, if all the electors are grouped together without seggregation, then there is in fact one section in that electoral roll part, and the cover page will reflect that reality and the section number will begin and end with 1.
But, if there is need for new creation of sections, you must assign the electors into respective sections and then number it serially and then reflect that on the cover page. (there isn't much time, though, for this;this is to be done by 28.9.2007)

Naihati, the correct formation is DO-Supervisor-AERO. The BLO will basically function as an enquiring official. In some cases, BLOs are being deployed to become DOs in which case, however, he cannot leave the polling station during office hours during the period 14.11.2007 to 3.12.2007
