Two points, however, bear highlighting:-
1. Time for C&O is shorter this time. So we must ensure that all rolls reach the booths (with DOs) on 14.11.2007 itself.
2. One DO for one premise, at worst. No clubbing of premises to be done.
That makes our challenge to print the rolls in time all the more relevant.

In PEC we will use from 001C for correction and issue of duplicatealong with from 8 . If an elector willing to furnish DOB with 001C and wanted to have duplicate card with DOB (against copy of FIR) should software will permit it or it will be a similar copy of lost one.For correction can DOB be added?
Can we useearlier unused 002 &004 forms printed earlier....

A point which was no doubt discussed yesterday but perhaps needs to be clarified a bit further may kindly be confirmed. This is related to issue of form 8 with 001C. The guidelines mention that non-image/defective image electors submitting photographs will also submit form-8 but doesn’t mention whether electors coming for photography will do the same. Now at the time of issue of 001C it will not be possible for the DO to understand who will submit photo and who will come for photography. Also if all non-image/defective image electors are to be issued with form-8, then a large number of such forms are required to be printed immediately and handed over to the DOs.This may kindly be clarified.

If a person who has been served with a 001B in the last EPIC programme comes with it and submits with photo will it be accepted or he has to fill up a 001C and apply fresh ?

Adding to Query of BWN, In an earlier correspondance from your end, it was stated that an elector coming for EPIC correction in PECs, will be issued EPIC with new No., if the same is as per old numbering scheme. So the corrected EPIC with new No., in my opinion should have a provision to incorporate D.O.B therein.
In continuation of Purulia Query,
it needs further to be clarified, whether any manuscript is reqd. to be prepared against such cases of Form-8, if submitted during SRER period along with 001C? if yes, how?

Is there any necessity for a non-image elector to submit Form-8 along with 001C? If yes,how will we reflect (Form 8 with 001C & Form 8 with out 001C) in Form-11 without correcting it?
Should we receive any Form 001C ( earst while 004) in respect of correction for EPICs at the EPIC venue during EPIC programme?

Howrah.
All good questions and I take these five together. I hope the following principles may help clear the fog. Please come back if required.
1. Form 8 is to be used only if there is a photo mismatch, ie, if someone else's photo appears in draft roll. The effect of Form 8 would be to merely REMOVE the photo in FP supplement.
2. No new photo will appear in FP supplement. All photographs submitted through 001C will be kept in database alongwith PEC photos and 1-10 Feb EPIC Campaign.
3. In PECs, for lost EPICs, prayer for duplicate EPIC will be accepted on the basis of plain paper application, GDE copy AND 001C.
4. If an EPIC is correct in all respects, no application for a new-format-EPIC will be entertained in PECs. In other words, absence of DOB won't be treated as an error to be corrected.
5. EPIC campaigns in 1-10 Feb will not cater to issue of duplicates or corrections.
6.There may be no objection to receipt of 001Bs issued earlier - but since the serial number of the elector will have changed in DP roll, this may be corrected by hand.
7. During EPIC campaign in February 2007, photographs in 001C can be accepted also. Of course, to help the citizens, we will also accept 001C with photographs as an advanced gesture of goodwill - no action will be taken before EPIC campaign but we save the elector from coming twice to us.
1) Is Blank Form 001B relevant with the EPIC campaign to be conducted in 1-10 FEB, 2008 in addition to Form 001C ?
2) When the new software for preparation of EPIC in PEC during Dec, 2007 will be available ?
