Like last year, we're going to allow on-line applications through our website. Applicants will be asked to meet the ERO on 14.12.2007 at his office with supporting documents. The signature of the applicant will be taken on the print-out of the e-application form 6/7/8/8A during this special hearing by ERO. At the time of this hearing, the applicant can also submit 2 photos on Form 001C.
So, all EROs may be advised to remain present in their offices on 14.12.2007 with rolls of all ACs for which he is the ERO. Support staff setup may also be kept ready.

Hearing for disposal off Form-6, 7, 8 & 8A received at booth, has been fixed on and from 10.12.07. So it is requested to fix the date of hearing for the Form received in email,before 10th Dec'07

For Howrah: If personal appearance and documents produced do not prove the bona fides of the applicants, it is always beter to do an field enquiry. But my advise is to do it just after 14.12.2007, the date of hearing.
For Durgapur: This hearing should be done by ERO at ERO's office. I'd prefer to have a uniform date throughout the state, as we did last time. Pl. see if you can adjust other dates but even otherwise I don't see any clash as this hearing will be for all ACs of all parts of the allotted to the ERO(SDO/Dy Magistrate)

1)In your reply dtd. 7/11/07, you have mentioned, " EPIC campaign in 1-10 Feb will not cater to issue of dup. & corrections" - BUT photo mismatch cases will be entertained in that phase, which also tantamounts to some sort of correction, indeed. As because form-8 is reqd. in such cases.
- So we are given to understand
that this is not being treated as a
correction. Is it so?
2)In case of dup. EPIC from PECs as 001C is accepted, the new card will feature his/her dt. of birth,
which was not in his prev. one,
& won't be a duplicate in the true
sense. Is it so?
3)Due to marriage of a woman, her surname,addr.,relationship gets changed. Such elector, having been
issued earlier with EPIC from paternal addr., if opts for a new EPIC from PEC with changed fields,
will she be charged Rs. 25/- for such new EPIC?
4)During post FP period(1-10 Feb),
is it mandatory for photo mismatch
electors to submit form-8 along with 001C, if they do not submit
the same during SRER-08?

We have already communicated all ERO's to remain present on 14.12.2007 with rolls of respective ACs. We have already published a post on our BLOG and kept the links to the online registration forms there.

The rate for single side printing is to be decided locally keeping in mind that in case of single side printing, cost of printing is less compare to double side printing but paper cost remains the same.

The following points may kindly be clarified-
1)For this year, whether the PECs will run as ON LINE or OFF LINE?
2)Do we require to take image or Photo in 001C further from an existing Image holder in the draft roll who needs correction in r/o add./sex/age/reln.etc. or who needs duplicate having correct Image in the draft roll?
3)Whether WTL will provide teams for PECs -as the existing setup of PECs do not permit us to scan Photos with 001C.
4)Is there any plan for change of deadline of PECs?

If any elector lost his photo token but his identity is established by submission of old EPIC or DO endorse his identity ,can new EPIC may be issued or not? Otherwise if we insist on GDE a lot of EPIC remain undistributed.

For Burdwan (26.11.2007):
-OK. But I'd advise to get a plain-paper declaration, duly witnessed by another elector of the part. This may be kept on our record.
For Paschim Midnapore (27.11.2007):

the EPICs supplied by WTL for distribution during 14.11.07 to 3.12.07 is found to have following defects --
1. Several EPICs were not at all supplied though the persons were photographed in August & they possess a valid receipt (& also an EPIC no. in draft roll.
2. EPICs supplied suffer from errors in detail (including photo mismatch)
3. Some EPICs are supplied without facsimile of ERO
What do we do in these cases???

I am Debashis Kayal from Salt Lake(139Belgachia East, PartNo.252,Polling Booth-17No. Ward Office).
In 2003 we moved from Salt Lake WardNo. 5 to our present address(Mahavir Vikas,HC Block).I had applied promptly and had the change effected in the Electoral Roll(Voters' List).But it had not been that easy to make the necessary changes in our EPIC cards.I have gone and ask the officials at Mayukh Bhavan time and again but it simply never was the right time to "apply for EPIC correction",I was told.
Also this year, no one from the electoral office had come to our house for the Electoral Photo Roll.
Please let me know what am i supposed to do now.
Is it too late for the necessary changes to be effected before the coming election?
Also this year one of my family member's name is to be included in the Electoral Rolls.

Form 6(Inclusion of Name)
Form 001C (Preparation of Photo Electoral Roll & EPIC)
Form 004 (Correction in EPIC)
