Revised PEC dates: 1.12.2007 to 31.12.2007

Since we'll now have to finally publish the rolls on 18.1.2008, and since corrections etc undertaken in the PECs (Permanent EPIC Centres) have to be reflected in the FP Rolls, we'll have to close down the PECs temporarily by 31.12.2007 (and NOT by 31.1.2008 as intimated earlier).

Consolidated PEC data may be sent to WTL within 3 days thereafter, ie by 3.1.2008

sir,

in the specimen of 001C for correction and transposition 001C with photograph has been allowed, whereas in the guide line of PEC for correction Rs. 25 has been asked to levy. it appears to be contradictory.

A line of clarification is earnestly solited.

For transposition cases, if no photo appeared in the roll in the earlier non-transposed part, 001C will be submitted and no money will be levied.

If there was a photo in the roll earlier, no new EPIC will be ordinarily given and no 001C need be submitted or money taken....HOWEVER, if the elector desires to have a new EPIC with corrected address, he'll have to pay Rs.25 & give 001C.

sir,
Is there any need to give a copy of appeal/request addressed to non immage non epic elector along with 001c as done during just concluded photo roll exercise.

No, Burdwan.

But we may have to do a "missing elector" exercise shortly, especially for those whose photos do not appear. We'll talk about it on 5.11.07

Sir,
If for correction/duplicate EPIC an elector sends his representative to PEC with two copies of photographs instead of appearing personally, can it be accepted ? Of course the elector has to appear personally for receiving EPIC.
