e-interaction

To spread our “e-interaction” further, we are convening a meeting again at Kolkata on 5.11.2007. We will, of course, also discuss preparedness for the Summary Revision and EPIC programme. Letters are being despatched.

Meanwhile, I wish everybody a happy and cheerful Durga Puja.

Not related with e-interaction, but there is a confusion, vide guideline to DO( in Bengali), Page 5, Para -1, Line -4, if a person does not show any linkage, but his/her DOB is prior to 01/07/1987 , will not he/she qualify as an elector in respect of citizenship?
Again, there is no mention of declaration of Students studying outside his/her native place. Is the declaration mandatory or optional or not in effect in SRER-2008?

1. Legally speaking, ERO can take a view based on evidences placed before him and his decision is final. We, however, merely advise caution for anyone who claims to be the first Indian citizen of previous thousand of generations.
2. Declaration mandatory for students studying elsewhere

Like previous revision whether Postal DOs will be appointed or not.

We are yet to receive Commission's specific instructions in this regard till date, although this was mentioned in last year's guidelines.

I'd advise that till we receive the specific guidelines, we may defer appointing postal DOs.

Sir....I am AERO, 129 Naihati A.C. I want to know, what will be the procedure to follow for distribution of EPIC to non-EPIC electors? Is there any marking to identify a non EPIC one?
