The Election Commission, in its order dated 16.6.2008, has directed that in order to reconstruct electoral rolls on account of delimitation of constituencies, there would be a ban on transfer of DEOs, EROs, AEROs and BLOs with immediate effect. For exceptional cases, prior approval of the Commission will have to be taken.
This has reference to no. 434/1/2008/ERS dt 16.6.2008 of the Commission

I Sri. A.K. Biswas I.D.O., Barjora, Bankura. Transfer order has been issued in favour of me, Vide order No.372 Dated.07.03.2008 of the Director of Micro & Small Scale Enterprises I have been functioning as O.C. General Election as well as A.E.R.O. under this Block and my substitute I.D.O. has already joined at the end of May in this Block. Whether I may release form this Block or not?

Polling Station 79 under erstwhile 272 Khandaghosh A.C had two moujas namely Sasanga & Torul with Sasanga having one section and Torul having two. the total No. of voters in the roll was 900. after the delimitation the political parties demanded that the Torul Mouja being about 3 KM away from the polling stn. a new polling station be created for the electors of this mouja. consequently P. Stn. No. 164 under 259 Khandaghosh (delimited) was proposed in the draft polling station list. now it is observed that due to some error during last revision the entire electors of the two sections under Torul had been merged with Sasanga & the two sections where in reality,there should have been 342 electors, are having only two electors.Is it possible now to transpose the displaced electors before draft publication on 30.7.2008 to these two sections under torul as otherwise the newly constituted polling stn. will not meet the criteria.

Sir,A clarification is needed from your end.Sri K K Majhi DMDC Dgp was transferred vide notfication no3584 dated 13.9.07,after that a order is issued from the end of DM Bdn with a direction to release on 16.6.08 and it is received by SDO on same date at evening. Sri Majhi is an AERO.On the same date ban on transfer was issued by ECI.Whether concerned officer can be released at this time.---From Bdn
