We had a CEOs' conference at the Election Commission on 7.2.2008. We have been given the following targets, among others:
1. Make a correlation exercise for transition to re-delimited constituencies for one AC for each district and send report to Commission by 29.2.2008. Proformae have been given.
2. Rationalise polling stations so that no. of voters don't exceed 1,000 in rural areas and 1,200 in urban areas, that no voter has to walk more than 2 km, that parts be properly "section-ised" at great details and that polling areas don't overlap village (mouza) boundaries. We have to complete this by May 2008.
3. Ensure that all election-related vacant posts are filled up by 31.8.2008
We'll discuss on 13th at 10.30am at the Video Conference.

we have prepared a sample of co-relation excercise of 188- Balagarh(SC) AC and send it to your office by e-mail.Is it ok?
If it is ok, we can continue the same excercise.
For rationalisation, we are using section wise link table & GIS for the area of new polling station based on electors size & mouza non-overlapping concept. we will send Sample copy very shortly.
we have taken step for recruitment against vaccancy, our expectation ,it will be completed within March-08.

As per your Memo No. 054/JSSG/WBE/2007 dated 25.02.2008 it is directed to start PEC from 01.03.2008, I have a quiestion for above subject that only Correction & Duplicate EPIC will bw made on PEC or new EPIC (Non EPIC Electors) also entertained in PEC.
